What is a “Street Medicine Van” and what does it do?

This custom mobile medical van conversion was created for The Ritter Center, a non-profit Health Center in Marin County, California. Ritter Center’s mission is to prevent and resolve homelessness and improve the health and well-being of individuals and families who are homeless or low-income by providing a range of culturally sensitive, easily accessible, high-quality medical care and social services.

The Street Medicine Van will be used to reach more homeless and low-income individuals by taking medical services directly to those that need it. This traveling medical van will serve the people of Marin County with medical services, diagnostics, and the quality care they need.
